Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
